Coach Has A New Home

The ride had mixed emotions. There was the excitement of meeting new people, maybe new friends. But it was also scary. Coach got out of the car and saw all the people..some playing games in the recreation room, some going to lunch, and some were getting their seats for the October Festival. Coach was smiling . Maybe this was  going to be ok. His new “ hotel” was set up with a new TV , comfy bed , a bistro table, and the perfect chair to watch all his sports games. The decision to place our dad in another “ home” wasn’t easy. There is always the doubt of “ will he be ok? Lonely? Fearful? And then it was lunchtime. Coach was eager to eat lunch with everyone else. Afterwards it was time to go to the festival. As my sister was FaceTime with me I saw dad in the front row clapping to the music of the piano and smiling. Yes this was the right decision, the right time, the right place. We know there will be challenges down the road, some confusion as to where he is and yes maybe some loneliness for the love of his life, Lucy. But in the end everything has been done in love. Coach never met a stranger and now he will be in a place to flourish. So to you dad we say “ enjoy this new chapter of your life. We love youF756C742-9AEE-45C8-AAB4-17AC9CFCE588
