The Adventure Board

The training continues…this time with a “short bike ride”. Kev had already gone on it the day before so he knew what to expect. It looked easy enough but like everything I’ve done so far it’s been more of a challenge for me. Kev stayed behind me to help me with my technic so I could get the most out of my training. Every wife wants that right? I could turn around anytime but I just kept going…until it said the sidewalk had ended ( I was so dissipointed 😃 ) With 12 miles in we were able to finally chill and went to REI. And there it was. The adventure board. Dreams written in chalk and pictures to prove it! We had looked for this board because they had package trips to the Grand Canyon. But while looking at it I began to remember all the daily work outs along with the more strenuous ones on the weekends..wouldn’t it be easier to just say no to your dreams when they become too hard? It’s a question that will be asked more than once for anyone who has dreams. Dreams are essential in life because they bring hope when we may be tired of the daily grind or continually dealing with difficult situations. Why do YOU keep going? Your still doing your early morning workouts to lose that weight you said you would in January; your still going to that college class you hate because you need it to graduate; your still buying McDonalds ice tea instead of Starbucks in order to save money for your dream home; you keep going to your chemo treatments so you can go to your grandkids baseball games..The key for dreams coming true are found in these two words “ your still” ..dreams are only possible when your willing to sacrifice for it. So keep going! Don’t give up! Just like my hubby stayed behind me to help me succeed , let Jesus ride behind you and guide you to the right paths …paths that will truly bring you unspeakable JOY. Until next week…
